Annie Halliday draws with light, exploring the potential of lensless photographic processes. She projects light through spatial arrangements, capturing the images directly on photographic paper and film, to reveal new and surprising details in her subjects.
She is now working in full colour, making photograms, pinhole camera images, and composites incorporating digital images, micrographs, and drawing.
Computer imaging techniques enable her to collage and hybrid artwork, taking the very early photographic processes into digital formats, which can be transmitted onto a wide range of substrates and formats.
Annie specialises in sci-art and interdisciplinary projects, photomedia workshops, educational talks, residencies, commissions.
